A custom wire rubber grommet interfaces with the finished enclosure, including its coating and edge condition. The panel thickness used for selection should reflect the surface the rubber actually engages, rather than the bare material before finishing.
ETOL provides custom dimensions, rubber compounds, hardness and color. Compare the groove with the coated opening and keep the cable's jacket shape in the bore assessment. Where moisture exclusion is required, a smooth, consistent seat helps maintain the intended contact around the perimeter.
Remove coating runs, loose fragments and contamination from the fitting area without damaging the enclosure finish. Seat the grommet evenly and inspect the lip before threading the cable. After assembly, look for a region held away from the panel by a local buildup or fastener. Do not use extra cable tension to press that gap closed. Evaluate the complete entry in its intended conditions, and recheck the seat after any refinishing or panel repair that changes the thickness or shape around the opening.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Where moisture exclusion is required, a smooth, consistent seat helps maintain the intended contact around the perimeter. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
