Product Overview
Silicone round caps cover compatible round ends, but the intended application determines the required design. A cap placed on a table leg and a tip fitted to a crutch can look similar while serving very different support conditions. Receiving diameter alone is not sufficient to establish interchangeability.
For furniture, the cap should seat against the leg end and maintain the intended floor contact without exposing hard edges. A crutch tip requires compatibility with the specific mobility aid and its established support arrangement. General cap dimensions or a soft silicone surface do not establish that suitability.
Inspect the mating end for damage before fitting an appropriate part. The opening should remain secure without a rolled rim, and the base must meet the surface as intended. Keep the contact area clean and inspect for wear or splitting. Replace a deteriorated cap or tip with the correct application-specific part rather than adapting a visually similar cover whose retention and support function have not been established.
