Product Overview

A silicone rubber end cap covers a pipe opening with a profile developed around the pipe's outside surface and end geometry. Internal depth should leave the required space for the pipe end while the sidewall reaches its intended engagement. A cap that bottoms out too soon can appear fitted while retaining only a short contact length.

Custom size, hardness, color and compound options can match the application. Define the medium and operating conditions if the cap is intended to seal rather than simply protect during handling. Any pressure requirement needs assessment of the complete cap, pipe and retention arrangement.

Inspect the pipe edge for burrs and remove particles from the cap cavity before fitting. Seat the cap evenly without rolling the wall at one side. After removal, examine the inside for localized cuts or contact marks that indicate an unsuitable depth. Keep replacement caps protected from deformation during storage. If the closure repeatedly shifts during use, review its engagement and surrounding forces rather than pressing the same cap farther onto the pipe.

Material options
Custom silicone compound; formulation and geometry developed together.
Hardness selection
Silicone options: 20–80 Shore A. Any pressure requirement needs assessment of the complete cap, pipe and retention arrangement.
Custom geometry
Internal depth should leave the required space for the pipe end while the sidewall reaches its intended engagement.
Fit evaluation
Seat the cap evenly without rolling the wall at one side.
Color & OEM
Custom colors; OEM identification positioned outside closure contact surfaces.

End Cap Size Catalog

Compare inside diameter A with the outside of the part being covered. Check inside depth C and overall dimensions B and D for available clearance. These RSE references show a round cap with one closed end.

RSE End Caps

43 closed-end cap sizes. A is the inside diameter and C is the usable internal depth; B and D describe the outside envelope.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
