A Buna-N rubber washer can create a flexible interface within a mounting point. Where the purpose is to influence vibration transfer, the rest of the joint must be considered: a rigid contact elsewhere can carry movement around the rubber and change the result. Washer material and dimensions are only part of that arrangement.
Check whether the fastener, sleeve or adjoining bracket creates a direct bridge between the supported component and its base. Some designs intentionally include rigid locating features, but their relationship to the rubber should follow the intended mounting function. Tightening until all compliant movement disappears may alter that function.
Buna-N is an NBR material designation; suitability still depends on the selected formulation and exposure. Evaluate the assembled device under its normal operating conditions rather than expecting a stated reduction from an untested washer. During maintenance, inspect for permanent flattening and unintended metal contact. A replacement should preserve the planned gap and compression so the mounting behavior does not change merely because a different ring thickness was available.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Tightening until all compliant movement disappears may alter that function. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose hemispherical, tapered or recessed rubber feet and compare the mounting dimensions. All values are in millimeters. Use the drawing labels for each product; a dash marks a dimension not supplied in the source.
12 sizes for recessed rubber feet, including flat and rounded bases. The Base column identifies the lower-edge style. C is recess depth; the appearance rendering shows a rounded-base example.
