Rubber mount feet with chamfer details include an angled edge that can provide clearance or a defined transition within the fitted part. The chamfer belongs to the geometry of the mounting arrangement; its location should match the feature it is intended to clear. An angled outer edge and an angled center-hole entry serve different purposes.
Check nearby shoulders, screw heads and base corners when choosing the profile. A foot that interferes with one of these features may sit tilted even though its main dimensions appear correct. The remaining flat contact area should meet the supporting surface as intended after the chamfer has provided its clearance.
Install the part in the correct orientation and inspect the seated edge before tightening fully. Avoid trimming additional rubber away to clear a mismatched bracket, since that changes the support geometry. Later checks should focus on the transition from the angled edge to the main body, where contact with unintended hardware may leave a distinct wear line or begin a tear.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The remaining flat contact area should meet the supporting surface as intended after the chamfer has provided its clearance. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose hemispherical, tapered or recessed rubber feet and compare the mounting dimensions. All values are in millimeters. Use the drawing labels for each product; a dash marks a dimension not supplied in the source.
12 sizes for recessed rubber feet, including flat and rounded bases. The Base column identifies the lower-edge style. C is recess depth; the appearance rendering shows a rounded-base example.
