Rubber extension bellows cover a moving region while changing length with the assembly. The extended and compressed positions need to be defined from the actual movement, together with any change in angle. The bellows should not become the feature that limits the mechanism's travel.
EPDM is associated with this custom product, with other material options available. Dimensions, hardness and color can be developed for the installation. Select the compound for environmental exposure and the deformation expected from the fold geometry. End attachment details should keep the cover located without concentrating strain in the first fold.
Evaluate the assembly through its full intended range. At compression, check whether folds touch nearby brackets or bunch into a pinch point. At extension, inspect for an end that begins to lift or a fold stretched into an unintended flat section. Include neighboring hoses or cables in the clearance assessment.
Plan access for inspection and suitable cleaning between folds. A repeated contact mark may reveal interference that is only present at one movement position. Before replacing a torn bellows, identify that cause and review the mounting alignment. A longer part is not automatically a solution, because added length can reduce the space available when the mechanism closes.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The extended and compressed positions need to be defined from the actual movement, together with any change in angle. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
