Rectangular silicone plugs can be custom shaped for an elongated opening, with EPDM and NBR among the material options to consider for the environment. Length, width, corner shape, and inserted depth should be defined together. The compound choice should follow the actual exposure rather than the visible outline.
Check how the retaining section engages along the long sides and short ends. A closure can appear flat in the middle while one end remains partly outside the seat. The opening finish and panel thickness should be included when developing the profile.
Fit the plug progressively without pulling its long dimension to make it reach. Inspect the full perimeter before nearby parts make access difficult. Leave a practical handling area if the opening will be used during servicing. During care, check the end corners and inserted region for damage or permanent distortion. Use a replacement with the required material and full geometry rather than a similar rectangle selected only by its overall length.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. Length, width, corner shape, and inserted depth should be defined together. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
