Rubber grommet bushes can cushion the edge of an opening through which a lead or cable is routed. The molded structure, dimensions, material, hardness, and color can be customized. The panel-engaging region and center passage should follow the actual cutout and the item passing through it.
For a coil-related assembly, identify where the lead exits and how it is supported beyond the opening. The grommet should keep the cable from bearing directly on the cutout edge without forcing the route into a tight turn. Any neighboring component needs enough clearance for the rubber to seat fully.
Remove burrs and loose particles before installation. Seat the retained portion around the complete perimeter and check the passage after routing the lead. The grommet should not replace the separate support required to control pull or movement in the cable. During maintenance, inspect the area where the lead changes direction and recheck the panel seat if the routing is altered. Replace a damaged bush with the correct groove and passage dimensions.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The panel-engaging region and center passage should follow the actual cutout and the item passing through it. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
