A Rubber cable grommet forms a flexible boundary between wiring and the edge of an opening. The visible flange on the near side does not show the entire fit, so both faces should be checked where access allows. A rear lip can fold under while the front still appears properly positioned.
Custom dimensions and rubber choices allow the bore and retaining profile to follow the cable and panel. Match the groove to the finished panel thickness, including a coating or local reinforcement. Keep the passage large enough for the intended cable configuration without leaving the wire against an exposed edge.
Seat the grommet before drawing the cable into its final position, then inspect again after routing. Pulling on the cable can move a lip that was previously seated. If the entry is enclosed by another part, complete that check before access is lost. During later maintenance, examine the hidden side whenever the panel is opened, particularly if the cable has been redirected or replaced.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The visible flange on the near side does not show the entire fit, so both faces should be checked where access allows. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
