Selected for the contact, temperature and movement
Define the visible surfaces and intended color
Develop holes, lips and walls around the mating parts
Match the attachment and installation method
Rubber Sealing Plugs can be customized for different openings, with each profile developed around the contact path that closes the assembly. The body diameter, retained length and local shoulders need to correspond to the mating surface rather than being selected only from the exposed head shape.
ETOL can tailor the structure, material, dimensions, hardness and color. Define the operating medium and required handling before evaluating the complete closure. A configuration intended for one opening should not be assumed suitable for another merely because both accept a plug of similar width.
Fit the selected version to its designated seat and inspect the boundary before the opening becomes inaccessible. Evaluate sealing under the assembly's required conditions. During replacement, compare the design dimensions with the mating part and inspect the old plug for changes in shape. Keep similar versions identified by their full profile and compound so a nearly fitting spare does not introduce a different retained contact into the joint.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. Rubber Sealing Plugs can be customized for different openings, with each profile developed around the contact path that closes the assembly. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
