Selected for the contact, temperature and movement
Define the visible surfaces and intended color
Develop holes, lips and walls around the mating parts
Match the attachment and installation method
Molded rubber pipe caps need a defined contact with the pipe exterior or bore, depending on the selected closure configuration. An outside cap and an inserting plug use different dimensions, so the intended interface should be chosen before evaluating the fit for water exposure.
Select the NBR, EPDM or other specified formulation for the actual service conditions. Develop the head, body and engagement length around the finished pipe end, including coatings and local features that affect contact. A waterproof description does not establish a pressure rating for an unspecified connection.
Fit the closure to a prepared end and inspect the full contact boundary. Evaluate the complete arrangement under the equipment's required conditions. During maintenance, examine the mating surface for corrosion or damage before fitting a replacement. Preserve the designated material and internal or external fitting method rather than choosing a similarly sized cap whose visible outline conceals a different engagement profile.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. Develop the head, body and engagement length around the finished pipe end, including coatings and local features that affect contact. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
