A silicone rubber cap stopper can close a pipe opening with a flexible fitted profile. Before choosing dimensions, establish whether the closure engages inside the hole or around the outside of the pipe. The seating surface, accessible grip area, and available insertion depth differ between those arrangements.
When the closure is intended for a food-related application, consider what it will contact and how it will be cleaned. Suitability depends on the particular silicone formulation and the complete use conditions. A general material description does not establish compatibility with every food, cleaning chemical, or processing environment.
The finished shape should allow the contact surfaces to be reached during routine cleaning where the application requires it. Deep recesses or an inaccessible gap around the rim may complicate that task. Before refitting, inspect for residue at the seating edge and make sure the closure returns to its intended position without folded material. Any required leakage control must be evaluated on the actual pipe and stopper combination; a snug hand fit does not establish a pressure or hygienic performance rating.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. A pipe closure's seating surface and grip differ depending on whether it fits inside the bore or over the outside. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
