Custom bushes for wire connector applications protect the interface around wiring without obstructing the connector's working features. A useful design leaves enough room for the connector latch to engage, release and be inspected. The rubber profile should be considered alongside the connector housing, mating direction and the fingers or tools used during service.
A protruding flange may provide useful coverage at the panel but become inconvenient if it sits directly beneath a release tab. Likewise, a sleeve that presses against the rear of a connector can keep it slightly misaligned. Evaluate these details with the complete connector pair installed, including any backshell or harness wrapping.
Material selection should account for local heat and contact with the cable jacket. The required dimensions and profile can be customized, with the panel seat kept separate from the connector clearance wherever the design allows. During fitting, avoid pulling on individual wires to draw the connector into place. Confirm the connection first, then check that the rubber has settled evenly and has not been trapped beneath a locking feature.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The required dimensions and profile can be customized, with the panel seat kept separate from the connector clearance wherever the design allows. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
