Match the attachment and installation method
A rubber mount shock absorber damper combines a rubber working element with a connection selected for the equipment. M3, M4, M5, M6, and M8 options identify different mounting sizes in this product offering. The thread choice needs to match the receiving part, while the rubber geometry and material need to suit the load and movement.
Begin with the complete support arrangement. The number and position of mounts determine how the equipment load is shared, and an off-center mass can load one position more heavily than another. Establish the direction of force and the required clearance before choosing the rubber dimensions and hardness.
Thread size alone does not define vibration performance or permissible load. Check the engagement length and surrounding space as part of the mechanical fit, then assess the mounted equipment under its actual operating conditions. Cables, pipes, or brackets that bridge the flexible support can also influence how the installation behaves.
During assembly, secure the connections using the intended hardware and method without twisting the rubber body to drive the fastener. Leave clearance for the movement established by the design. Inspect the mount and its connections after installation and during maintenance, looking for loosening, cracking, or a lasting change in position. Replacement mounts should match the original support requirements as well as the thread designation.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The thread choice needs to match the receiving part, while the rubber geometry and material need to suit the load and movement. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a connection type, then compare body dimensions and metric threads. D, H and L are in millimeters; H excludes projecting studs. The M designation identifies the metric thread.
157 sizes with a male stud at each end. Compare body diameter D, body height H, thread size and projecting stud length L.
