Product Overview

A PCB Panel Film Keypad needs the visible input area and underlying circuit assembly to align within the finished panel stack. The layers and support positions determine whether pressing the button reaches its intended actuation point without leaving it preloaded at rest.

Compare the finished panel opening, film or keypad location and board spacing as a complete assembly. A change to one layer can alter key travel even if the external appearance is unchanged. Keep locating features clear of trapped wiring or hardware that could lift the keypad unevenly.

During assembly, check the control before final closure and again after all fasteners are secured. Press the intended key area and observe both actuation and return through the complete electronics. Select the material construction for the actual temperature and processing conditions of the equipment. During service, avoid stretching or sharply creasing the film region to gain access. If response changes after reassembly, inspect the stack alignment and support first rather than adjusting the circuit or button individually without identifying the mechanical cause.

Material options
Rubber. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Rubber: 30–90 Shore A. Press the intended key area and observe both actuation and return through the complete electronics.
Custom dimensions
Compare the finished panel opening, film or keypad location and board spacing as a complete assembly.
Fit & assembly
During assembly, check the control before final closure and again after all fasteners are secured.
Use & inspection
If response changes after reassembly, inspect the stack alignment and support first rather than adjusting the circuit or button individually without identifying the mechanical cause.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
