A 3m adhesive rubber pad combines a custom rubber contact piece with an adhesive attachment. The useful pad size depends on the flat bonding area available, not simply the space visible around it. A pad spanning a recess or rounded edge may have less effective attachment area than its overall dimensions suggest.
Structure, material, dimensions, hardness and color can be customized. Select the backing grade for the substrate and expected loading, including any tendency for the edge to peel during movement. The adhesive brand reference alone does not establish compatibility with every painted, coated or textured surface.
Check the outline on the assembly before removing the liner. Prepare the surface, position the pad and follow the application pressure and bonding time required by the chosen adhesive. Keep the rubber's contact face aligned with the opposing surface. During maintenance, examine the pad from the side for edge lift or movement, especially if it has been subjected to sideways rubbing rather than simple compression.

Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
