A rectangular rubber plug grommet closes a shaped opening through a retained interface. Its straight edges and corners should match the cutout before the material is evaluated for the location's thermal exposure.
ETOL customizes geometry, dimensions, compound, hardness and color. Include the finished panel thickness and corner radii in the fit assessment. A close overall length and width do not compensate for a corner that holds the flange above the panel.
Choose the material for the actual temperature, exposure duration and surrounding substances. Seat the closure without stretching its corners to reach an unsuitable outline, then inspect the hidden lip where accessible. Evaluate the assembled component under the specified conditions. During service, follow the equipment's appropriate cooling and release method before removal. Look for hardened sections, local cuts or a face that no longer returns to shape. Correct an uneven seat or contact with nearby hardware before fitting a replacement rather than pushing the same distorted corner down again.
