Match the attachment and installation method
Silicone bottle caps are custom closures developed around the bottle neck and the intended method of fitting and removal. The neck's outer lip, bore and available gripping space all influence the cap geometry. Two bottles with similar capacities can use different neck finishes, so container volume is not a reliable guide to closure fit.
Compare the finished cap with the actual bottle, including any rim that the rubber must pass over. Decide whether the closure is intended to engage outside the neck or seat within the opening, and evaluate that interface using the selected hardness. Color and dimensions can be customized for the container design.
Material selection should reflect the contents and cleaning process. For bottles used with food or drink, suitability must be established for the specific compound and contact conditions. During handling, keep the neck free of residue that could interfere with seating. Remove the closure using its intended grip rather than pulling sideways on one thin edge. Inspect the mouth of the bottle as well as the rubber before refitting a cap after cleaning.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. Decide whether the closure is intended to engage outside the neck or seat within the opening, and evaluate that interface using the selected hardness. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
