Rubber plug feet combine a section that locates in the assembly with an exposed contact surface. In a foot or stop arrangement, those features have different jobs: the retained section keeps the component positioned, while the exposed rubber provides the contact interface.
Choose the dimensions around both areas. An enlarged outer face cannot compensate for a loose mounting section, and a tightly fitted stem does not ensure that the face meets the opposing surface squarely. Neoprene and alternative custom rubber choices can be considered according to the assembly environment, with hardness selected for the required contact behavior.
Fit the component before bringing the mating parts together, then inspect where contact actually occurs. The face should meet the intended area without its edge catching on nearby hardware. If the bumper is being used as a foot, check the full set for consistent seating. Replace a torn mounting section even if the visible contact face still looks usable; movement at the attachment can change the way the assembly rests or closes.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The stopper bumper's retained section locates it in the assembly while the exposed rubber meets the adjacent part. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
