A neoprene grommet can be customized to form a cable entry with controlled contact at the panel and jacket. The seat should be a continuous surface, because a flange pressed over a ridge or local obstruction may leave a gap elsewhere along its perimeter.
Choose dimensions and hardness around the finished opening, and select the compound for the intended environment. ETOL also offers color and profile customization. Include any coating buildup, overlapping panel joint or nearby fastener when assessing the space available beneath the flange.
Seat the rubber before routing the cable into a fixed position. Work around the perimeter to check that the groove has engaged rather than judging the fit from one side. For moisture-exclusion duties, evaluate the entry with its final cable route and expected exposure. If maintenance changes the surface around the hole, inspect the seat again before reuse. Remove trapped particles and replace damaged rubber instead of forcing a local gap shut with another component bearing against the flange.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The seat should be a continuous surface, because a flange pressed over a ridge or local obstruction may leave a gap elsewhere along its perimeter. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
