Match the attachment and installation method
Neoprene rubber cable grommets provide a molded rubber interface around a wiring passage. The custom shape should match the opening and finished wall thickness, while the cable bore follows the actual jacket dimensions. The selected neoprene compound must also suit the conditions at the installation point.
Consider the substances, temperature, and cleaning exposure near the entry. Material selection does not replace the need for a correctly sized retaining profile. A grommet made from a suitable compound can still move or fold if its groove does not match the panel.
Clean and deburr the opening before fitting the insert. Inspect the retaining lips around the perimeter, then route the cable with enough slack to avoid pulling one side out of place. Provide the separate support required by the wiring assembly. During maintenance, check for cuts, looseness, or distortion after the cable is moved. A replacement should preserve both the dimensions and selected compound rather than being chosen only because it looks like the original rubber ring.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The custom shape should match the opening and finished wall thickness, while the cable bore follows the actual jacket dimensions. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
