A waterproof sleeved grommet provides a flexible surrounding interface where a pipe or similar routed component crosses a panel. For an automotive assembly, the sleeve should match the specific location and the pipe's working route. ETOL can customize its structure, compound, dimensions, hardness and color.
Check the distance between the panel and the nearest pipe support. That spacing affects movement at the sleeve, especially when the pipe is connected to other components. The grommet should not be forced sideways simply to compensate for misaligned connections. Leave clearance around its extended section and any nearby bracket.
Choose the material for the actual heat, moisture and substance exposure at that vehicle location. Water exclusion depends on the fitted contact with the panel and pipe, so evaluate it after the connected assembly is complete. During installation, guide the pipe through without scoring the inner rubber on a rough end. After servicing, inspect for a rolled sleeve edge and confirm that the retaining profile remains seated. Keep the intended pipe support arrangement so repeated movement does not concentrate at the protected crossing.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Water exclusion depends on the fitted contact with the panel and pipe, so evaluate it after the connected assembly is complete. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
