Highly Compressible Rubber Bellows protect a moving region while their corrugated body changes length. The folds are intended to accommodate compression for dust protection and related enclosure duties. Their usefulness depends on the space available at the shortest operating position, not simply on how far the part can be stretched by hand.
Plan the installation around the full movement of the mechanism. At maximum compression, the folds need somewhere to gather without being crushed between rigid surfaces. At extension, the end attachments should remain secure without transferring the mechanism's stopping force through the rubber wall.
The design can be customized, with materials including EPDM, HNBR and silicone. Select the compound according to the surrounding exposure and choose the fold profile around the required travel. A softer wall may feel easier to compress, but hardness alone does not define usable stroke or resistance to sideways buckling.
Run the assembly slowly through its movement before regular operation. Look for a fold turning inward, rubbing an adjacent part or trapping grit as it closes. Clear accumulated debris before it becomes packed into the valleys, and inspect the attachment ends if the body begins to sit at an angle.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. A softer wall may feel easier to compress, but hardness alone does not define usable stroke or resistance to sideways buckling. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
