A Blind Closed Rubber Grommet closes an opening that does not currently need a cable. Unlike an open ring, its center remains covered, giving the panel a finished appearance and removing direct access to the cut edge. This is a practical choice when one panel design contains openings that are unused in a particular assembly.
Choose the part around the hole size and the thickness captured by its groove. The visible face alone cannot establish whether the retaining section will hold correctly. A closed center also needs room behind the panel, especially if nearby components sit close to the underside.
ETOL can vary the material, hardness and color to suit the panel arrangement. If wiring is later added, use an opening and cable-entry design appropriate to that cable rather than making an uncontrolled slit in the center. Cutting can alter both retention and the way the edge is covered.
Remove it carefully at the rim during access; inspect for tears before reuse.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. If wiring is later added, use an opening and cable-entry design appropriate to that cable rather than making an uncontrolled slit in the center. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
