Match the attachment and installation method
This rubber oblong panel grommet is listed for a 10 by 25 mm panel hole. Its outer outline measures 14 by 29 mm, while its internal passage is 8 by 23 mm. The compact rubber liner covers the cut edge so the routed wire does not bear directly against the panel.
The outer measurement is useful for checking clearance next to a housing feature, but it is not the hole size. Preparing a cutout to that larger outline would leave the retaining section unsuitable for the opening. Likewise, the 10 by 25 mm mounting size overstates the actual clear passage available to a connector.
Versions are listed for panel thicknesses of 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3 and 4 mm. Match the selected part to the finished wall at the opening, including any local step that changes its depth.
Because the entry is small, avoid forcing a terminal through at an angle where it can catch the rubber. Determine the assembly order before wiring is completed. Once fitted, check the long sides for rolling and ensure that a close cable bend does not pry one rounded end away from the panel.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Preparing a cutout to that larger outline would leave the retaining section unsuitable for the opening. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
