An oval rubber waterproof grommet must fit the panel and the routed cable arrangement if moisture control is part of the intended application. The oval body provides edge protection, but an open passage around a loose cable can still leave a route into the enclosure. The complete entry geometry determines whether the design can meet its intended sealing requirement.
The table offers many mounting outlines, with separate measurements for the central opening and outer flange. For instance, a 25 by 50 mm groove corresponds to a 22 by 47 mm interior. That interior is the available opening after the rubber is installed; it should be compared with the actual cable arrangement rather than treated as a sealing specification.
Panel finish also matters. A warped face, rough paint ridge or cutout outside the chosen profile can prevent continuous seating. Match the groove width to the wall and check the entire oval perimeter before assessing the cable interface.
No ingress protection rating is stated here. Evaluate the assembled entry under the moisture exposure it will encounter, including the direction from which water can reach the opening. Reinspect after wiring changes, because adding or removing a cable can alter the gaps even when the same grommet remains in place.
