A molded Buna-N rubber grommet provides an oval protective entry for an industrial cable route. Buna-N identifies the nitrile rubber family; the actual compound should be selected for the conditions at the opening. The oval geometry then needs to match the panel and the cable arrangement independently of that material choice.
Check both axes of the retained outline and the wall thickness along the cutout. The clear passage inside the rubber is smaller than the bare panel opening, so assess the complete cable or connector against that internal space. Custom size, color and marking options can suit the installation. Fit the curved ends carefully and inspect the groove before the bundle blocks the view. After nearby cable supports are secured, check that the long sides have not been pulled inward. If the harness arrangement changes, review the available width as well as the total opening length. Replacing the rubber with a longer oval alone will not correct a bundle that is too thick across the short axis.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The clear passage inside the rubber is smaller than the bare panel opening, so assess the complete cable or connector against that internal space. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a through-hole or blind-hole profile, then compare the dimensions for your panel and cable arrangement.
