Oval shaped rubber grommets protect cable routes that use an elongated opening. The range shown here includes groove dimensions from 10 by 20 mm up to 50 by 100 mm, with intermediate proportions that allow the opening to suit different bundle layouts. Both dimensions matter: two ovals of the same width can provide very different routing space.
The table separates the groove outline, outside outline and inside opening. A 20 by 50 mm groove, for example, is paired with a 26 by 56 mm exterior and a 17 by 47 mm interior. The exterior needs clear panel area for the flange, while the smaller interior is the space available to the cable after installation.
Several groove widths are offered for each outline. Match that width to the panel thickness at the edge instead of choosing by overall part thickness, which also includes the flange sections. An oversized groove can allow rocking even when the oval outline looks correct.
Arrange the cable route along the long axis where practical, without forcing individual wires against the curved ends. Inspect both ends after fitting; they can be less easy to see than the straight portions and may conceal a lip that has folded beneath the panel.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The exterior needs clear panel area for the flange, while the smaller interior is the space available to the cable after installation. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
