Match the attachment and installation method
A rubber damper with bolt provides a defined fixing for a custom buffer arrangement. The bolt positions the part on its support, while the rubber face needs to align with the component that loads or contacts it. A secure fixing can still leave the buffer working incorrectly if the contact occurs off to one side.
Establish the bolt connection and the working orientation together. Check the mating thread or through-hole arrangement, the available engagement, and the surface against which the fixing seats. Leave access for installation without requiring the rubber to be twisted as a substitute for handling the metal attachment.
Once fitted, observe where the opposing component meets the buffer through its actual travel. Edge contact or a sideways scraping motion may call for an alignment change rather than a harder rubber part. During inspection, look for movement at the fixing and a compression pattern that has shifted from its original location. Both can alter the force path and allow adjacent hard surfaces to make contact sooner than intended.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The bolt positions the part on its support, while the rubber face needs to align with the component that loads or contacts it. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a connection type, then compare body dimensions and metric threads. D, H and L are in millimeters; H excludes projecting studs. The M designation identifies the metric thread.
