A silicone rubber pad provides a compliant face at the point where a component meets its intended support or stop. Selecting the contact area helps place the rubber where it can perform that role. Thickness then needs to be considered with the available travel and the space between adjoining parts.
The backing surface should support the pad rather than leave a thin overhang to receive the load. If the moving part approaches at an angle, assess where it first touches the rubber and how contact develops. The formulation and geometry require evaluation for the actual duty; a pad alone does not establish the characteristics of a complete shock absorber.
Keep the receiving area clean during fitting and use the retention arrangement intended for the design. After operation, inspect the working face for a localized mark that falls outside the planned contact area. Correct the alignment or support as needed before replacement so the pad continues to meet the component through its intended surface rather than a vulnerable corner.

Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
