Silicone rubber bellows intended to exclude water need suitable end connections as well as an intact folded body. Movement changes the forces around those connections, so a closure that appears tight at rest still needs evaluation through the working travel. The silicone material alone does not establish waterproof performance.
Define the end profiles, retention method, and range of motion together. Clamps or other restraints should hold the intended attachment areas without cutting the rubber or constraining the first moving fold. The surrounding structure must leave clearance as the convolutions compress, extend, or shift sideways.
Evaluate the complete assembly for both movement and the specified exposure conditions. Look for local lifting at an end, fold pinching, or rubbing that develops only near a travel limit. During inspection, check the attachment transitions and fold roots as well as the broad visible surfaces. If an end is disturbed during servicing, re-establish its seated position and retention rather than assuming the original water-exclusion behavior remains unchanged after reassembly.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. Movement through a bellows' working travel changes the forces at the connections securing its folded body. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
