A protective rubber bumper for chair assemblies creates a molded contact point where the design needs a compliant surface. Its attachment profile, projection and contact face can be customized, along with material, hardness and color. The bumper geometry should follow the part of the chair that actually meets the neighboring surface.
Check the contact direction before deciding the profile. A bumper approached squarely uses its face differently from one brushed along an edge as the chair moves. It should project enough to meet the intended surface before surrounding hard features do, while remaining supported at its mounting area. Excessive projection can make the attachment easier to disturb during handling. Evaluate the bumper in the complete chair position, not just as an isolated rubber piece. Keep the contact face free of embedded particles and inspect for wear concentrated at one corner. When replacing it, retain the intended installed height and attachment fit so the new part contacts where the chair design requires, without creating an unintended gap elsewhere.

FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose hemispherical, tapered or recessed rubber feet and compare the mounting dimensions. All values are in millimeters. Use the drawing labels for each product; a dash marks a dimension not supplied in the source.
12 sizes for recessed rubber feet, including flat and rounded bases. The Base column identifies the lower-edge style. C is recess depth; the appearance rendering shows a rounded-base example.
