A rubber cap seal covers the end of a mating component with a custom cavity and closed outer face. The sleeve or tip profile can be produced in different sizes, colors and hardnesses to follow the intended part. The design combines engagement along the sides with the space required over the end.
Cavity depth is especially relevant when the protected feature has a projecting tip. The cap should reach its intended seating position without that projection pressing unexpectedly against the closed face. A wider cavity may clear the tip but lose side contact, so diameter and depth need to be considered together.
Check the cap in the surrounding assembly to make sure its outer wall does not rub against a moving or frequently handled component. Fit it squarely, with the lip unfolded around the mating feature. Dirt caught inside can become trapped against the surface being covered, so clean both parts before refitting. Choose a rubber formulation compatible with that surface and any substances it encounters, particularly if the cap remains fitted for long periods.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. A wider cavity may clear the tip but lose side contact, so diameter and depth need to be considered together. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Compare inside diameter A with the outside of the part being covered. Check inside depth C and overall dimensions B and D for available clearance. These RSE references show a round cap with one closed end.
43 closed-end cap sizes. A is the inside diameter and C is the usable internal depth; B and D describe the outside envelope.

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
