Product Overview

A lock and lock rubber gasket provides a custom sealing element for a latching container-style closure. The gasket outline and cross section need to match the actual lid groove and container rim. Similar-looking containers can use different seal profiles, so the complete lid geometry should guide selection.

Check the corners, locating features, and available compression when the latches close. The gasket should remain seated without stretching around the lid or bunching at a corner. An overly thick replacement can make the latches difficult to close, while an undersized section may leave insufficient contact.

Select the compound for the contents, temperature, and cleaning routine, including any applicable food-contact requirements. Clean the gasket and its recess before fitting, removing residue beneath the sealing surface. Refit it evenly and inspect the closure after opening and closing the lid. The complete container determines permitted storage, heating, and leak conditions. A replacement should match the exact lid profile rather than imply compatibility with every product sharing a similar latching design.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
