Product Overview

A Rubber Vacuum Seal for a flat flange arrangement needs a continuous contact path between the mating surfaces. The gasket should remain correctly located while the flange closes, without an inner edge being pulled into the opening or an outer portion left unsupported.

Select the compound for the actual medium, temperature and vacuum-system requirements. Cut or molded rubber forms can be developed around the necessary outline. The material and flange geometry should be evaluated together because an apparently flat gasket does not correct a damaged or uneven seat.

Clean the mating faces and locate the seal before securing the assembly by its specified sequence. Watch for movement near fasteners or locating features. Keep debris out of the contact region rather than expecting additional compression to bury it.

Evaluate the completed joint under its required conditions. For disassembly, follow the system's release procedure before separating the faces. Inspect the gasket for a local groove, torn edge or permanent distortion. If contact has been uneven, correct the flange alignment or seat before replacement. Reusing an affected seal may conceal the original problem while making it harder to establish a consistent interface on the next assembly.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
