Develop holes, lips and walls around the mating parts
Match the attachment and installation method
Silicone solid stoppers close openings with an intact molded body. The custom profile should match the receiving bore and the intended seating depth, leaving access for removal where required. An EPDM version is a separate material choice that must suit the actual service conditions.
Check the medium, temperature, and cleaning exposure before selecting the compound. The same external shape can be molded in different materials, but that does not make those versions interchangeable. The opening may also include a taper or step that changes the contact area along the stopper body.
Fit the part into a clean, smooth feature without forcing it past the intended seat. Inspect the visible edge for tilting or uneven compression. Keep the solid center intact while the stopper performs its blanking role. During reuse, examine the body for cuts or permanent deformation and inspect the receiving edge for damage. A replacement should preserve the full profile and specified material rather than compensate for a loose fit by being pushed deeper into the opening.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The custom profile should match the receiving bore and the intended seating depth, leaving access for removal where required. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
