Custom butyl plugs for medical equipment close defined openings within a device or its components. The stopper's role should be established before its profile is finalized: an exterior access closure and a part exposed to an internal medium require different contact assessment. The body and head can be customized around that exact location.
Consider the equipment assembly sequence and the access left afterward. The plug needs a suitable pressing surface for fitting and an appropriate removal area if servicing is expected. A stopper should not be held in place by an adjacent component unless that relationship is part of the intended design. Verify the seated position with the surrounding housing assembled.
Select the butyl formulation for the relevant contact, temperature, and cleaning or processing conditions. Keep the working surfaces free from particles before insertion, and inspect the body after removal rather than looking only at the visible head. Replacement should maintain the full material and geometric configuration for the opening. Medical equipment suitability depends on that installed function and the complete device conditions, not a generic stopper appearance.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The stopper's role should be established before its profile is finalized: an exterior access closure and a part exposed to an internal medium require different contact assessment. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
