Round silicone rubber end caps cover the outside of a circular end feature. The custom molded shape can be adapted to its diameter and available insertion length, providing a defined cover rather than an improvised wrap. The internal profile determines how the cap locates on the part.
Check whether the end has a lip, taper, or rounded edge. Those details influence the required socket shape and how far the cap can seat. A soft cap should not be stretched excessively over a feature that differs from its intended dimensions, since distortion can change the contact around the opening.
For a food-contact application, select the specific silicone compound for the substance and cleaning conditions involved. Keep the cap interior clean before fitting so residue is not trapped against the covered end. Inspect the edge after installation and leave the required access for removal. The complete assembly determines its sealing requirements; a round cap should not be assumed to provide a rated pressure seal solely because it fits over the end.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The internal profile determines how the cap locates on the part. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
