A small custom plug with hole surrounds a passing feature while its outside fits a separate opening. For a silicone version, the rubber geometry must coordinate these inner and outer contact areas. The hole cannot be ignored when evaluating the closure, particularly if the assembly is expected to resist water exposure.
Define what passes through the center and how it is positioned. The bore may change shape as the outer body is compressed during fitting, so evaluate the passing component after the plug is seated. Avoid using an excessively tight outer fit that squeezes the center out of its intended alignment. The surrounding head or stop also needs enough space to reach its proper position.
Select the material for the actual exposure and inspect both interfaces in the finished assembly. An open center left unoccupied changes the closure condition, even if the outer profile fits neatly. Keep the bore free from particles and prevent sharp ends from cutting the rubber during insertion. Any required water resistance should be established for this complete fitted arrangement and its intended conditions.

Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
