Custom silicone rubber seal plugs can use a round or conical profile to suit a particular opening. A round outline describes the cross section, while a taper changes the contact diameter along the body. The choice should reflect how the opening is formed and where the plug is intended to stop.
With a straight contact section, body diameter and engagement length need to correspond to the receiving surface. With a conical section, insertion depth also affects the contact diameter. Establish the final exposed height and the handling surface for either arrangement so the installer can recognize the intended position. A plug should not be selected solely because its largest diameter exceeds the hole diameter.
Silicone hardness, color, and custom dimensions can be coordinated with the assembly. Select the formulation for the actual medium and temperature, and keep the opening free from burrs or deposits that can damage the rubber during fitting. Inspect contact around the full circumference after initial assembly. Where repeated removal is expected, assess whether the chosen head remains accessible without prying against the working surface.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. With a straight contact section, body diameter and engagement length need to correspond to the receiving surface. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
