Match the attachment and installation method
Custom medical silicone plugs can use different colors to distinguish specified closure versions within a product system. The selected color should remain linked to the correct material formulation and physical profile. It does not independently establish a medical function or processing capability.
The engaging body and seating surface need to match the actual opening and retention arrangement. Check the plug in the complete assembly so the exposed head reaches its intended position without a trapped edge. Similar colors or outside diameters should not be used to identify interchangeable parts where the hidden profiles differ.
Material suitability depends on the intended contents or contact surfaces, duration of contact, and processing conditions. The finished medical system must establish those requirements. Keep contact areas protected during handling and follow the system's assembly method. If replacement is needed, preserve the defined color-to-configuration relationship and inspect the new part's full profile before fitting. A visual match alone is insufficient when the closure serves a specific validated assembly.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The engaging body and seating surface need to match the actual opening and retention arrangement. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
