Product Overview

Custom seal gaskets in FKM or NBR can be developed as square rubber washers for a defined interface. The two materials are alternative configurations, and their selection should reflect the actual contact medium and operating conditions. The square profile needs to match the joint independently of that compound choice.

When evaluating material versions, keep the mating parts and closing arrangement consistent. Differences in the rubber can affect how the gasket sits and deforms, even if its loose dimensions are identical. The side lengths, corner radii, and thickness should provide continuous support without leaving folded material or an exposed sealing gap.

Keep each material version clearly identified during assembly and replacement. Color or a similar surface feel is insufficient to distinguish a specified compound. Clean the seat before fitting and inspect any area that damaged the previous gasket. The final connection must be assessed under its intended exposure rather than assigned a universal sealing or temperature capability from the FKM or NBR name alone.

Material options
NBR / FKM. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Rubber: 30–90 Shore A. Differences in the rubber can affect how the gasket sits and deforms, even if its loose dimensions are identical.
Custom dimensions
The side lengths, corner radii, and thickness should provide continuous support without leaving folded material or an exposed sealing gap.
Fit & assembly

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
