Custom EPDM rubber bellows need the compound and folded geometry selected for the actual installation. The end profiles establish attachment, while the body must accommodate the intended movement. The operating environment and cleaning exposure should guide the EPDM formulation.
Measure the shortest and longest working positions and any sideways offset. The folds need room to gather without being trapped and enough remaining travel at extension. Nearby brackets or guards should stay clear through the complete movement, not only at rest.
Fit the end connections without twisting the body and inspect the assembled travel. A dust-cover role depends on the end interfaces as well as the folded section. During care, remove debris from the valleys and examine the roots and end transitions for cuts or permanent deformation. Replace with the required movement envelope and mounting geometry rather than selecting a bellows only by its resting length. Preserve the original compound where the cover faces specific substances or temperature conditions.
