Product Overview

An EPDM rubber damper with a screw attachment provides a custom flexible connection for an equipment assembly. The compound and fastening arrangement should be chosen around the location where the part works. EPDM is the identified material for this version, while other rubber choices are separate configurations.

Define the substances reaching the rubber during use and cleaning. The attachment area may encounter different conditions from the exposed working face, so include both in the assessment. The screw must also suit the receiving hardware and available depth without holding the body in an unwanted twist. Check the completed fit after all adjacent parts are secured.

The damper should retain the intended clearance around its flexible region. Nearby metalwork must not constrain that region unless contact is part of the design. During maintenance, examine the screw connection and the rubber around it for changes in position. Replacing the material with a different compound simply because the dimensions match can alter the installed behavior and should be evaluated accordingly.

Material options
Custom silicone or EPDM formulation; tailor the geometry and color to the required interface and exposure.
Hardness range
Silicone: 20–80 Shore A; rubber: 30–90 Shore A. Assess the grade against this fit requirement: The damper should retain the intended clearance around its flexible region.
Custom profile & fit
Replacing the material with a different compound simply because the dimensions match can alter the installed behavior and should be evaluated accordingly.
Assembly considerations

Design check
The attachment area may encounter different conditions from the exposed working face, so include both in the assessment.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
