Round EPDM dampers with a bolt need a compound selected for the actual fluid exposure at the mounting location. Oil types and conditions vary, and EPDM should not be assumed suitable for every oil contact. Assess the chosen formulation using the relevant fluid, temperature and exposure duration before evaluating its service fit.
The custom bolt arrangement and rubber dimensions should follow the assembly's load direction and available clearance. Thread engagement, installed height and contact area are separate design features. A secure bolt does not establish the rubber's suitability for the environment.
Evaluate the complete mount after representative exposure and operation. Inspect for swelling, hardening, changes in installed position or contact with nearby rigid parts. During fitting, use the intended fastening method without leaving the rubber twisted. Keep material variants identified during maintenance and review any substitute compound in the actual geometry. If oil repeatedly collects beside the mount, investigate that condition as well as the rubber so the replacement is not exposed to an unassessed environment.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. Thread engagement, installed height and contact area are separate design features. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a connection type, then compare body dimensions and metric threads. D, H and L are in millimeters; H excludes projecting studs. The M designation identifies the metric thread.
