A silicone rubber pipe plug fits into a matching opening as a bung or stopper. Its working contact lies inside the pipe, so bore shape and engagement depth are central to selection. The opening may also include a seam or step that limits how the molded profile can seat.
Define the intended insertion position before choosing the length. A plug should not disappear beyond practical access or stop early against an obstruction while appearing fully fitted from outside. The silicone formulation must suit the contents and environment of the particular closure, with any pressure or sealing duty assessed in the completed joint.
Clean the bore and protect the insertion surface from sharp edges. Remove the stopper through its intended grip area rather than pulling on a thin lip not designed for that purpose. During repeated use, inspect the section that contacts the bore for cuts and permanent changes in shape. A loose fit should be corrected through the appropriate profile, not by driving the same plug farther into the pipe.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The opening may also include a seam or step that limits how the molded profile can seat. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
