A silicone pipe stopper with a T-shaped profile has a wider head above its inserted section. The head provides an accessible handling area and can define the visible seating position, while the stem determines engagement with the pipe. Those dimensions need to be considered separately.
Check the bore and available depth before choosing the inserted profile. The head must have clearance around the rim and any nearby components. If it reaches an obstruction before the stem seats, the closure can look nearly installed while leaving its working contact incomplete.
Fit the stopper squarely and inspect beneath the head where accessible for a raised edge or trapped debris. Do not infer a pressure rating or universal water seal from the T shape. Evaluate containment requirements in the complete joint with the selected material and exposure. During repeated removal, inspect the junction between head and stem for tearing, especially if the usual handling method pulls mainly at one side of the wider top.

FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
