A black rubber pipe plug closes a pipe opening using a profile developed for the receiving bore. The bore's condition matters as much as nominal diameter. Deposits, seams or local damage can interrupt the plug's contact or cut the body during insertion.
Custom dimensions, material, hardness and color options allow the closure to follow the pipe and intended service. Define the engagement depth and accessible removal area. The selected compound should suit the medium and temperature, with any pressure duty assessed as part of the complete retained arrangement.
Inspect and clean the receiving region before fitting. Insert the plug in its intended alignment without using additional force to overcome an unresolved obstruction. Check its final position against the developed seat. After removal, examine the contact surface for an uneven band or repeated cut that corresponds to a bore feature. Correct the receiving condition where necessary before installing a replacement. Keep spare plugs protected from particles and deformation so a storage issue does not become part of the sealing interface.

FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
