Self adhesive rubber feet pads can be installed as part of a product's finishing process. The custom footprint and rubber height should match the intended base, while the 3M adhesive option is selected for the particular substrate. A practical installation sequence helps keep the bond area clean and accessible.
Consider when the feet are applied relative to other assembly work. If the base is still exposed to dust, oil, or handling residue, later bonding may provide a cleaner surface. If a cover blocks access to the seating area, the feet may need to be positioned before that cover is installed.
Use clear locating features so each pad reaches the same intended position without repeated adjustment. Press the adhesive face fully against the prepared surface and keep the rubber body relaxed. Check the completed product for stable contact after all components are fitted. During servicing, avoid placing tools beneath a foot as a convenient lifting point, since that can disturb an otherwise sound adhesive connection at the base.
