Product Overview

Accordion flexible rubber bellows use a folded body to cover a region whose end positions change during operation. The silicone boot needs enough space at both compressed and extended positions, with the attachment ends remaining seated throughout that movement. A relaxed length that fits during installation may not provide the correct working range.

Define the end diameters, attachment method, and the movement envelope around the mechanism. Include lateral movement or angular change where it occurs, not only axial travel. The compound should be selected for the actual temperature and substances in the covered region.

Fit with the folds aligned and no twist between the ends. Move the mechanism through its permitted range while checking for inverted folds, rubbing, or an end pulled from its seat. Repeat the clearance check with neighboring covers and hardware installed.

During maintenance, keep packed debris from preventing the folds from gathering naturally. Inspect the narrow transitions near each end as well as the center folds. A recurring tear may indicate that the boot is being used as a travel limit or is contacting a nearby surface. Correct the operating length or clearance before replacement so the next bellows can move through its intended shape.

Material options
Custom silicone compound; formulation and geometry developed together.
Hardness selection
Silicone options: 20–80 Shore A. Accordion flexible rubber bellows use a folded body to cover a region whose end positions change during operation.
Custom geometry
Repeat the clearance check with neighboring covers and hardware installed.
Fit evaluation
Inspect the narrow transitions near each end as well as the center folds.
Color & OEM
Custom colors; identification clear of folds and end connections.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
